The 12 Ways of Christmas…

Christmas is something that seems to come around faster than we can believe. Not long ago I’m sure we were experiencing the biggest heatwave we’ve ever had? Now the nights are dark and the TV is slowly showing Christmas adverts at every opportunity. But how do we as individuals get ready for the¬†festive season and everything it brings?

Well drawing from personal experience I know exactly the type of person I am when it comes to Christmas. For the last 3 years my gift shopping has taken place on Christmas Eve… It’s fairly clear I have a lack of urgency when it comes to being prepared for the festive season!

Why The Rush?

Well, to put it simply I think it’s for peace of mind. To some people the thought of rushing around close to Christmas on top of the many other things that seem to crop up, is too much to process! And for some people I totally understand this…

For example my mum on average cooks for around 20 people on the big day. So for her, along with the rest of the plans she has, she almost has to be prepared early! When I was younger I never understood why in October she’d be buying everyone’s Christmas presents, but now… It’s obvious.

Those all important Christmas Presents…

But there is always another way of looking at things. Some people have very little responsibilities when it comes to Christmas! No children to look after, dinners to cook, partners to impress.

Here at Wyboston Lakes…

We have a huge array of people here at Wyboston Lakes, from different backgrounds, cultures, all with their own personality. So what stage are some of the Wyboston employee’s at when it comes to the festive season?

Well from what’s been said in the marketing office, I know where a few of us are at. There seems to be a bit of a gender divide when it comes to this so be prepared… The men haven’t particularly thought about Christmas, especially not gifts, whereas one of the girls walked in the office with an array of gifts from Y Spa the other day…

With the big day fast approaching it’s nice to see some of the people in the office really thinking about Christmas, but for me, I think I’ll stick to my usual routine of doing everything last minute, it hasn’t failed me so far.
